Tomoko TAKEDA

Tomoko is an Associate Researcher who joined the Kayanne Lab in April, 2021. She graduated with honours from the University of Tokyo (M.Eng) in 2008 and holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science. Her previous experiences include working for the Suva, Geneva, and Bangkok Offices of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), the Institute of Global Environmental Strategies, and Veolia Water, K. K. In her free time, she participates in various disaster- and environment-related activities, including the steering committee of the Information Technology Disaster Assistance and Response Team (IT DART), a volunteer organisation which works to support disaster-affected communities by harnessing the power of IT.
